Delivery

The honest wind delivers ashes to a tulip.
The somber tulip delivers nectar to a bee.
The exhausted bee delivers income to a family.
The rural family delivers convenience to a Jinni.
The talented Jinni delivers magic to a body.
The curved body delivers blood to a face.
The clotted face delivers seed to soil.
The torrid soil delivers milk to a tree.
The loose tree delivers shade to a spirit.
The aged spirit delivers secrets to a stranger.
The trusted stranger delivers a package to you.
Burned, I deliver you to the wind.

I love this. I don't understand all of it, as far as feeling there are hidden symbols here, but I still love it. If you feel like divulging your hidden symbols, I would love to know them!

Very nice images in the poem and I'm sure many of them have significance to you and you alone. Thanks for coming over to my blog and yes, it's cold but no snow-I think we're on tap for some tonight-but not a huge amount.

I too am a huge fan of Gibran and have his book The Prophet that I open and read from time to time-a good way of keeping things in perspective.

Blessings,
Leslie

Wow! i truly love it, really.. there is so much behind the lines and you got to read more than once to understand even a bit of its meaning. And even then you are not sure if you got it right and then you get back to read more and more. Amazing :)
Everything in life is a circle.. we shall end where we begin..

Amazing poem. You have a gift Khaled. You see things other don't, and in turn, you express those images and ideas with words. And you make those words beautiful.

Magnifique Khaled !!!! Cette photo est stupéfiante et son atmosphère mystique la rend encore plus incroyable...
J'ai l'impression de voir une âme spirituelle planant sur notre monde pour mieux l'observer et s'enquérir de ce qu'il devient par delà le temps !
Magnifique vraiment !!! ;)

Oh wow! I had to look up the word Jinni, and I am still perplexed enough to need to read this many more times. Even if I fully understood it I would want to read it many more times. It is remarkable, Khaled.

I cannot help being amazed at the way you express your spirit with the magic of words! Bravo!
And may I place here a short explanatory note as to Jinni? It won't dispel your poetry spell, I dare assume.
Jinni (in Arabian and Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than the angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to possess humans.
