There is so much being said in each stanza of this poem. In many ways it captures the futility of having a cynical approach to life. Although there is something quite sombre about this poem... there is also a message of liberation i.e. 'seize the day'! It reflects where I'm at this week... weary and exhausted... and yet I love the gentle reminder that 'life's for the taking'! Btw, what a FAB image!

The entire poem is profound, caught in the
rat race, becoming a robot.
